Inclement Weather Policy

Radio station announcements In the event of inclement weather, please listen to the following radio stations: 101.5 FM New Jersey WHWH (AM 1350) Princeton WPST (FM 97.5) Princeton WCTC (AM 1450) New Brunswick WMGQ (FM 98.3) New Brunswick You will also receive a call via our family phone chain. Room parents have organized this system for each grade in the school. Information about school closings or delayed openings will also be posted on this website. Early Dismissal In the event of early dismissal for inclement weather, the announcement will be made on the radio. You will NOT receive a phone call from the school. If the weather becomes treacherous during the school day, the school districts will tell us when the buses will be sent. Please discuss a plan for your children in preparation for the winter season. We ask you NOT to call school during one of these dismissals. It is CRITICAL that our phones remain open. If you work at a great distance, please have backup emergency phone numbers and neighbors or family members who can meet the bus or pick up your student. Check the emergency closing hotline phone number (609-921-7666) or school website for the latest information regarding school closings or delayed openings. Delayed Opening In the event of a delayed opening, school will begin at 9:30am. Since many of our school personnel may also be delayed in getting to school, please do not drop off your children before 9am. We cannot offer supervision any earlier than 9am. Continue to listen to the radio during a delayed opening in case the weather worsens and we must close the school. If we have a delayed opening on an early dismissal Wednesday, the school day will be extended to a full day with a 2:30 dismissal.
