5th Grade Lions get a Tiger experience

The 5th grade girls basketball team had the great opportunity to have a scrimmage during halftime of the Princeton University Women's Basketball game on Friday, November 11th vs. Rider University. Coach Maguire and the team had a great time and provided exciting halftime entertainment for everyone at Jadwin Gymnasium. What a great experience for the team!

St. Paul's Honored at CYO Events

The annual Mercer County CYO Opening Mass took place on the morning of November 5th at the Yardville CYO Center. Following Mass, awards from the 2015-16 season were awarded and St. Paul's was represented well!

Each parish awarded Male and Female Scholar Athlete awards. Qualifications were graduating 8th graders who maintained A and B averages on all subjects and participated in one or more CYO sports during the 2015-16 season. St. Paul's additionally requires that the student/athlete demonstrates adherence to our program's faith based mission through service and sportsmanship. Anna Sarubbi and Michael Abbondandolo were the Female/Male recipients for St. Paul's.

The CYO awards an overall Male and Female Athlete of theYear and a Volunteer Coach the Year for Mercer County. St. Paul's took two of these three awards as Erika Porter and Joe Sarubbi took the Female and Coach awards respectively.

Erika was also named "Ms. CYO Basketball Player of the Year" for the 2015-2016 season and honored at the CYO Basketball Hall of Fame Dinner and Awards Banquet held on Sunday, November 20th at the Nottingham Ball Room. Way to go Erika!!

Overall a great way to recognize our 2015-16 achievements and kick off the 2016-17 CYO season. Best of luck to all of our teams!
