Dear Parents,

I hope that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

If you don't mind, I'd like to brag a little…

When I returned to my office during the day yesterday, I found two beautiful glass trophies on my desk.  Last year, our Art teacher – Mrs. Mary Dolan, submitted student work from Bella Sagarese, Lucia Samuel, and Lauren Chase to an Art and Essay contest sponsored by Peace Islands Institute.  I am pleased to announce that Mrs. Dolan and St. Paul School were recognized with contest awards!

Congratulations to 8th-grader Claire King on her winning essay in the 5th Annual Holocaust Essay Competition, sponsored by Fegelson-Young-Feinberg Post 697 Jewish War Veterans of the U.S.A.  Claire, who shared the honor with two other students, Makenna Buchinski, Our Lady of Grace School, Penndel; and Nicole Chu, Cinnaminson Middle School, Cinnaminson; read her essay aloud at the awards ceremony on November 14th, where Allan Silverberg, Chairman of the Holocaust Remembrance Program, presented the award to her.  Claire's essay reflected on the words of Holocaust survivor, Daniel Goldsmith, who spoke to St. Paul 6th-, 7th-, and 8th-graders in the spring as part of St. Paul's Holocaust Studies program, founded by 7th-Grade Language Arts teacher, Sally Chrisman.

Congratulations to Mrs. Dolan, Mrs. Chrisman, Bella, Lucia, and Lauren!

Thanks to all that contributed to the Annual Fund. Just a reminder today is Giving Tuesday. Please see our website for more details.

Just a reminder that the PTA Scholastic Book Fair is next week.  Please see the attached flyer for all the details.  Books make great Christmas gifts!

Sunday, December 2nd begins the Holy Season of Advent.  My thanks go out to 2nd grade teacher - Christa Stefanick and the Catholic Identity Committee – for preparing the attached "Advent Wreath Prayer Sheet."

I wish you many blessings during this Advent season.

Warmest Regards,

Kim Clauss
