Dear Parents,

I hope that you had a blessed Christmas and a very happy new year!

Last year, a plan was developed to update the entryway of the school.  While we were on Christmas break, the project took life.  The Knights of Columbus came into the building and spackled, patched, and painted the walls.  Art teacher, Mary Dolan, re-framed all of the class portraits and hung them today.  It's still a work in progress, but if you have a chance to stop in, please do.  It looks beautiful!

Students are getting back into the routine of school and the upper grades (6-8) are readying for midterms which begin on Tuesday, January 22nd - Thursday, January 24th.  Additionally, preparations for Godspell have begun.

Ms. Palumbo would like to make you aware of a remarkable program that is available to your children.  Every February, dentists throughout NJ offer free dental care for children ages 12 and younger.  "Give Kids a Smile Day" is February 1st which also happens to be a half day.  Additional information is available on the New Jersey Dental Association website:

Registration has been extended for the volleyball (5-8) and tennis programs (1-4).

Volleyball will start on 1/15/19 and tennis will start on 1/17/19.  Please see the attached flyer.

I just like to share something that I witnessed today that I have never witnessed before I arrived at St. Paul School.  I was outside with the Pre-K recess and it was windy and chilly.  The students were having fun, but their interest was waning.  Tobias Urban, Miranda Beasley, Faith Szarvas, and Gianna Timberlake asked if they could come into the playground to play with the children.  For the next 15 minutes those 8th graders made recess extra special for our young students.  Their interaction was a beautiful thing to witness.  The joy and giving nature of our students was once again evidence of Jesus in our midst.

Warmest Regards,

Kim Clauss
