Dear Parents,

Catholic Schools Week has just ended and it was a very exciting time!  Jesus' presence in our community was visible to all.

This year, students from grades 1-8 were invited to participate in the Spelling Bee.  After the teachers conducted preliminary contests in their classrooms,  students competed in the finals.  Believe it or not, there was a 3-way tie for 1st place!  Congratulations to the winners: John Teti - Gr. 8, Spencer Wert - Grade 8, and Madison Fajardo - Grade 5.

Throughout the week, our Tech Club, under the direction of Mrs. Schramke, performed behind the scenes making sure that all of our technology was working properly.  I'd especially like to thank Luke Cura, Joe Miller, and Lucia Samuel for all of the time that they spent creating the Family Feud presentation.

Earlier this year, the students participated in the Annual Respect Life Poster, Essay and Photo-Meme contest that is sponsored by the Diocese of Trenton.  I am happy to announce that four of our students have been awarded first runners up for their entries: Avyan Gupta's Grade K-2 Poster, Elizabeth Italia's photo-meme, Daniela Rossi's Grade 3-5 Poster, and Leo Teti's Grade 3-5 Essay.  Congratulations to the students and their teachers!

The culmination of Catholic Schools Week was Family Skate Night. My congratulations to the PTA and Mr. and Mrs. Vilarelle for organizing such a successful event. There were over 120 skaters and some girls even befriended a prospective student. I'm told it was a great night.
