Dear Parents,

Last week, as we started Lent, I spoke about ashes and how they were a visible sign of our faith.  As I walk through the halls of our school, it is clear that the season of Lent is upon us.  Mrs. Dolan has displayed paintings of the Stations of the Cross on the main floor and Mrs. Britschge has created a beautiful bulletin board proclaiming "God Save the People!"  In the next moment, I recall driving to school this morning (still in the dark due to daylight savings time), and saw the beautiful purple light shining from the front of Saint Paul's Church. There are signs of Lent all around us!

Today we had a Holocaust survivor speak to our Upper School students. She was two years old when her mother was forced to leave Germany and her father was sent to Poland. Our students were very respectful and asked quite intelligent questions to our guest.

A heartfelt "thank you" to the PTA, Mrs. Karen Weed, and everyone who helped make the Shamrock Gala a success.  The evening was great fun, all for the benefit of our children. Parties and a few packages are open until Friday evening at 9:00pm.

Due to the Shamrock Gala, I was able to attend the Children's Mass at St. Paul's last Sunday.  It was wonderful to see so many of our children practicing their faith in the many ministries at St. Paul Church.

Finally, to help with your future planning, attached you will find the 2019-20 School Calendar.

Warmest Regards,
